Things I’m noticing, thinking, and building, mostly about AI.

Bio

I run Actalyst, which mostly means wearing many hats. Some are boring, most are necessary, and a few are exciting enough that I keep doing this.

I started as an analyst, mostly staring at data all day. Over the years that turned into founding teams and a string of leadership roles, the kind where you end up in more meetings than work.

AI has quietly pulled out the builder in me. I missed the joy of making things, spending hours on problems most people don’t care about because it’s just fun, and watching vague ideas turn into something real.

Most days are a mix of understanding workflows, building products, talking to customers, hiring, selling, debugging, and doing whatever else needs doing. On weekends, I sometimes wonder what life would look like if I hired a CEO and went back to being a full-time hacker.

This site is where I keep notes that would otherwise disappear into social media.
